Latency vs Throughput

• Latency: Time it takes to perform an action and produce a result;
• Throughput: Number of actions that can be performed in a given amount of time;

Also:

• Bandwidth: Maximal number of actions that can be performed in a given amount of time. It is the maximal theoretical throughput.
